PHOTO TIPS

A better photo makes a better knight

Five small things to check before your pet suits up.

Get down to their eye level

A photo from the pet's eye level gives the model a readable face and more natural proportions. Avoid wide-angle shots taken very close to the nose.

Find soft daylight

Window light or an overcast day keeps fur texture and eye color visible. Harsh flash and deep shadows hide the details you want the model to preserve.

Keep one subject per upload

Use one cat or dog in the pet photo. In You and your pet mode, use a separate human portrait rather than a photo of someone holding the pet. This gives each subject a distinct identity reference.

Skip filters and costumes

Filters can change coat color. Hats, sunglasses and costumes can hide the ears or face. A simple photo gives your knight the best chance of looking like your actual pet.

Choose a readable file

Upload a non-animated JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB per image, at least 128 pixels on each edge. A sharp, uncropped original is preferable. AI may still change markings or anatomy; no example guarantees identical results.
